The passion for the sea has always been a symbol and a feature of the Portuguese people. The conserved fish industry began over a century ago thanks to this passion. Angelo Parodi was one of those people whose mission was to bring the gifts of the sea to the people and in 1888 he established his company near the cool seas of Azores and the island of Pioc.
Today the company Angelo Parodi still continues the old tradition of filleting mackerel by hand ensuring the highest quality ever and selecting the perfect Spanish Olive oil that goes with it. Each fillet is carefully packed and prepared to ensure that it is not overcooked or damaged. The result is a fish that feature as a sought after delicacy.
