Rummo Fusili are very popular short thick corkscrew shaped pasta. This pasta originates from Northern Italy and the tight twist help it retain a wide variety of sauces better. The spiral is produced when the pasta dough is pushed through a mold that is more open at the sides than in the middle, causing the dough to twist on itself as it comes out the other side. They are often used in pasta salads with pesto or tomato-based sauces because it allows the diner to pick up pasta and other ingredients in one forkful. It has a width diameter of 7.55mm and estimated cooking time is 13 minutes.
