Grana Padano is a hard cheese produced from unpasteurised milk and ripened slowly for up to 18 months. The name “Grana” indicates a cheese with grainy structure (created by protein crystals formed during maturation) produced in the Padana Valley (Padano). Grana can only be a Padano. No cheese can use the name Grana Padano if it doesn’t originate from the Padano region.
Zanetti Grana Padano is an Italian’s cow’s milk cheese which is hard and grainy and of course only ever the real thing with its protected origin of denomination. The cheese can be used in almost all preparations from salads and dips to main course dishes.
